The present invention relates to a biocide product for the disinfection of water. The product is based on the disinfection ability of silver. The main objective of the inventions is to deliver a purified and sterilised water. The main embodiment of the innovation is focused in glass beads covered with silver, this silver, the product has excellent lixiviation properties which will benefit the release of the biocide agent. The main technical areas in which this innovation could have an impact are the medical field with emphasis in hospitals, where the bacteria need to be controlled to avoid dispersion. The invention could also be impactful in areas at risk of infection or contagion where water needs to be disinfected.
