New catalysts based on graphene of interest to industry - Banco de Patentes

The invention consists in advanced materials capable of catalysing reactions for energy conversion and storage. The new materials are based on graphene functionalised with organometallic compounds. One of their advantages is that they can be modulated and do not alter the most interesting properties of graphene and its derivatives, such as their capacity to conduct electricity. Specifically, the reactions catalysed by these new materials are related with the generation and use of hydrogen.
