3D printed modular beams which can be assembled without formwork

This is a new system for the manufacture of beams. The beams are constructed from 3D printed plastic parts that can be assembled modularly and then concreted on site.

These beams weigh up to 80% less than their concrete or metal counterparts, so large cranes or trucks are not necessary to transport and install them; they help save time and labour and material costs; and can be printed and assembled on site, making it easy to install anywhere, no matter how difficult the access may be. Furthermore, they take advantage of recycled plastics as raw material, giving a new life to this product and thus moving towards a more sustainable construction practice.
