New simple and low-cost method for building artificial reefs through electrolysis in seawater. An irregular and porous limestone surface is obtained, and it facilitates the adhesion of marine organisms that they act as biofilters, restoring degraded or polluted ecosystems and adding value to sustainable marine leisure.
