CSIC has developed a new compound with antibacterial activity, especially against Gram positive bacteria type. The compound acts to prevent the development of bacterial resistance, because their mode of action does not directly kill the bacteria. In addition, no harmful effects on humans, the new compound acts against a specific target of such microorganism.
