It has been developed a procedure to synthesize nucleoside analogues, called azanucleosides, characterized for being potential antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anticarcinogenic agents. These compounds can minimize pathogens resistance compared with current treatments and preliminary laboratory trials have provided excellent results.
