New device for three-dimensional cut of tissue samples - Banco de Patentes

CSIC together with other participants, have developed an automatic positioning device for tissue cutting in three-dimensional mode. This device is of interest in the field of histology and neuroscience. It allows to perform functional studies that currently can not be performed, usual devices  can not make cuts of curved tissue and also the tissue must be previously fixed. This device allows the study of neuronal populations connected to each other, since it is not necessary to fix the tissue to make the cuts. Therefore, this new dispositive offers significant advantages over the usual devices.
