IN VITRO METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF Pneumocystis Jirovecii INFECTION
This method of detection of Pneumocystis jirovecii is fast (between 1 and 2 hours), reliable, allows the quantification of the pathogen and has high sensitivity. The fungus Pneumocystis jirovecii, is the cause of pneumonia which is a major clinical problem with high morbidity and mortality.
